White and chocolate frostings
Various food coloring options
Assortment of cookies
Assortment of candy for decorations

Assortment of sugar sprinkle colors
Miniature colored marshmallows

Cups and popsicle sticks in which to mix frosting and food coloring

Napkins for clean-up

 

Activity Instructions:

 

Team Expectations 

• Your task is to creatively select and convey your team’s word to the rest of the participants using cupcakes

• You will work in teams of 3-4 people, everyone must participate fully
• Your creation must be edible
• Strive not to waste food.
• You will have 5 minutes to plan and 15 minutes to assemble your creation
• During your planning session, you may visit the pantry once for no more than 2 minutes
• If you visit the pantry during assembly, any time spent will be deducted from your 15 minutes.  If you go to the pantry during assembly, the entire team must go together.
• Each team must present their creation once time is called.  Time will be kept by the facilitator.
• Teams will be judged on their ability to convey their word successfully.  Prizes will be rewarded.
