President's Pen - Benefiting from Dallas ASTD's Consultant's Directory

One
of the great things about Dallas ASTD is the variety of our members. We have members who are training directors, training
specialists, people who have training as part of their jobs and outside
consultants. I believe that this
variety makes our meetings more interesting because you can have stimulating
conversations from various points of view.
One
of the benefits we offer for all our members is our Consultant’s Directory.
We are proud to list only consultants who are Dallas ASTD members.
The Directory assists our corporate members in locating partners to
assist with their training plans. It
assists our consultants by offering them the opportunity to advertise their
services on our website.
The
Consultant’s Directory can be found on our website by looking at the bar on
the left. Click on the link and
you will see that you have a choice to view listings by area of specialization
or an alphabetical listing of all of our consultants.
Fourteen
areas of specialization are available on the area of specialization page.
They are: Communications, Computer Training, Cross Cultural, Custom
Training, Education, Human Resources, Industry Specific,
Leadership/Management, Organizational Development, Professional Development,
Quality/Safety, Sales Training, Technical Skills, and Training Support.
The
listings will include the contact information provided by the consultants in
including name, phone number, website, and primary contact. Clicking
on the title of the company will provide more detailed information about their
company. Of course, clicking on
the website address will take you to even more information.
There
is a wealth of resources for our corporate members right at their fingertips.
For example, if you need a sales consultant, there are 10 listings.

For
our consultant members, the Directory is a great way to show that you are
affiliated with a professional development association and to provide exposure
for your company to over 400 members as well as visitors to our website. The
advertising cost is very reasonable at $30.00 per listing.
